Life on the Funny Farm ...

One of the major attraction of alpaca farming is the lifestyle.  We love animals and enjoy sharing our lives with then.  As a consequence, our ranch is overrun with animals.  Here are the indoor pests, er, pets, Wendy and Romeo. The cat is not a very good mouser but the parrot is an excellent paper shredder:

We have two live stock guardian dogs, Annie and Nookie.  Here they are after a long night keeping the coyotes away:

Of course, what is a farm without some "beast and fowl?"  Here are Simon and Baxter, a.k.a. the Butt Heads.  They're suppose to be our "lawn mowers,' eating the brush and weeds but they have other ideas ...

We also have eight guinea hens who seem to provide endless entertainment for the alpacas ...

One day, the girls mutinied and stormed the house ... guess they wanted more than just hay and pellets for dinner ...

Paladin's pen is next to the tack room in the barn so he often watches us while we go about chores.
